Welcome to my blog! My blog content is a mixture of things. I mainly talk about beauty, but I do a few random posts about my life. In the near future I shall also upload a few recipes as I am a huge foodie!

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream

I know this is advertised as a skin care product, but I do think it does lean towards a cosmetic product too hence the reason I've included it in my Makeup Monday!

So, I bought this on a whim because I was looking for a skin-care/base hybrid for days when I just want to look something a little less zombie, and more fresh, and the description seemed to fit the bill.

The formula of this is such that it comes out of the tube as a pearly white lotion-type consistency, but when applied and blended into the the skin, it 'adapts'.

Personally, for me - initially I didn't like the colour it matched me to. It automatically leaned more towards the orange-y area of the colour spectrum. It didn't look odd, just a tad orange. Now, I could deal with that, and layer the tinted moisturizer with something like my MAC Mineralize skin finish BUT half an hour post application, I noticed that it gathered around my nose and looked horrible.

I knew that it really didn't cut it for me, and asked my sister to try it - who's around an NC30/5, and wow! She looked amazing! Her skin just looked all glowy and natural, and I couldn't believe the difference. It didn't look orange on her, nor gathered around her nose. It was the perfect 'layer on top of your moisturizer, and walk out the door', and she loves it. It slightly evened out her skin tone and she said it made her skin feel a lot more perkier and fresh.

I'm going to put some swatches down on how it looks on her skin:
