Welcome to my blog! My blog content is a mixture of things. I mainly talk about beauty, but I do a few random posts about my life. In the near future I shall also upload a few recipes as I am a huge foodie!

For me, Winter definitely has a huge impact on my skin. I find that due to the cold air, central heating and air conditioning - my skin is pretty beat up. My skin is definitely dehydrated and dull and has the odd dry patch. (When I have a cold, my entire nose is a dry patch, lol!).

A few products I think are ideal for helping nourish and hydrate winter skin are as follows:

1. Super Facialist, By Una Brennan - Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask

THAT was a mouthful. This brand is found in Boots and is raved about lots of skincare bloggers on the blogosphere - including Caroline Hirons. I personally love this mask as it really hydrates the skin. On days when my skin is looking  a bit dull and in need of rejuvination, I pop a bit of this on for 10 minutes, wash of with a flannel - and I'm good to go. My skin feels fresh, hydrated and a lot more alive.

2. Elizabeth Arden - 8 hour cream

Okay, this is probably a cult product. Some say it's a glorified vaseline - but I think it's much more than that. For me, my lips have never been better treated by any lip balm the way this has. I use this religiously every night - and wake up with really soft lips. I also use this on my facial dry patches, my cuticles, elbows, knees... the list is pretty endless. This is such a versatile product, and I would definitely repurchase this.

3. Origins - Drink Up Intensive

For me, this is one product I will be using once a week for the rest of the colder months. It's a mask which you can leave on your face - overnight. It is SUPER hydrating. It just makes my skin really, really, really hydrated. I absolutely love it.

4. Origins - Drink Up

This is very similar to the first product I mentioned, but a bit more hydrating. The principles are the same - you whack it all over your face, keep it on for 10/15 minutes and using a wet wash cloth/flannel you wipe it off.

5. Indeed Labs - Hydraluron

This is a serum product which you put under your moisturizer. It binds to your moisturizer and then pulls all the moisture into your skin. This is one thing that has helped (for the past month) show a visible difference. When not in use - my skin is slightly less hydrated and my moisturizer sometimes feels as though it's just sitting on my skin. This for me is a skin ESSENTIAL.

From Left to Right: Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask, Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream, Origins Drink Up Intensive, Origins Drink Up, Hydraluron.
