Welcome to my blog! My blog content is a mixture of things. I mainly talk about beauty, but I do a few random posts about my life. In the near future I shall also upload a few recipes as I am a huge foodie!

Confused about what to do? Carry on reading

Make-up for many people is a daunting prospect. It may be because
there are SO many products available and they may not know which one is best for them, or they feel like they don't possess the correct knowledge about the application of make-up. To be honest, when I started off with make-up, I use to buy similar products to my mum - because she always looked beautiful! I realised, despite our skin tones being very similar, our skin wasn't the same. That's when I delved deeper into make-up.

Bobbi Brown BB Cream
For bases, I would advise anyone starting out (who find foundations a bit tricky to apply or match), to initiate with tinted moisturiser or BB Cream. Those are much easier to apply and really do blend into your skin. My favourites include the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream and the Bobbi Brown BB cream. Both are easy to apply and easy to blend and buff into the skin.

Maybelline Dream Touch BB Cream

If you feel like the above is still too much, then I'd point you towards the land of concealers. There are countless concealers available. The liquid-y formulas are best for blemishes and the solid-pot-type concealers are best for under eye circles.

For the eyes - if you're interested in eye-shadows, but find it hard to apply, I would steer you in to the vicinity of cream eye-shadows. They do not require any brushes (though a bit of blending around the edges would make the look a whole lot softer) as you can use your fingers. The cream eye-shadow application literally takes under 2 minutes. My favourites include the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eye-shadows or the MAC Paint pots.

Lips are much more easier! If your a bit afraid of bright, in-your-face colours, I'd advise you to opt for sheer lipsticks or balms. Those are much easier to apply and give a gorgeous slick of colour without looking scary. I personally really like the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, Korres Lip Butters and the Revlon lip Butters. All these give a simple flush of colour - and look very natural! I love them and have acquired quite the collection...
