1. Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner
I have oily lids. No matter what, every other eyeliner I've tried, has either seperated on my lids, transferred to my browbone or smudged out all over, making me look like a drugged panda. This gel eyeliner, has done nothing of the above. Whenever I've used it, it' stayed in place. It also lasts ages. I've had my pot for about 10 months now - and it has really dried up. So, as soon as this months pay check hits my bank, I'll be going and repurchasing!
I've heard that the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner is very compareable to the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. I do agree that the consistency feels the exact same, however, for an oily lid sufferer, I do regret to say that it did smudge and transfer all over my eyelids. If you don't have oily lids, I'd opt for the maybelline version as it's less than half the price. If you do have oily lids, I'd advice you to choose the Bobbi Brown version. It's much more long wearing and durable during the day (whatever the weather).
2. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
There's not much to say about this powder - except that it does what it says on the tin. It keeps your skin matte on those hot summer days, and it's really cheap. The only downside is it's packaging, but to be honest, you can't complain because it's so inexpensive.
3. MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
I love this paint pot. It's just a perfect wake me up base for my eyelids. Naturally, my eyelids are darker that the rest of my face. As it's darker, it makes me look more tired than I am. After I've applied this base, it has the same effect on me as a super strong shot of Americano Coffee (instant wake-up). The consistency of this paint pot is very creamy, and as it's opaque it has a really strong colour pay-off. This colour has no shimmer, glitter nor sheen. It is a matte colour, which is perfect for everyday no-makeup-makeup.
