I use the following selection of products on days when I want my skin to look good, but not perfect:
I like to mix my foundation with my moisturiser. As I have dry skin, it does help to have another layer of moisture. I take half a pump of my foundation (I'm a Nars Sheer Glow Convert - let's blame Tanya Burr) and a pea sized amount of my moisturiser (Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre) and mix it with a cotton bud till it reaches an even colour and an even consistency. I apply this all over my face with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
I then move in with concealer. I apply my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Warm Beige under my eyes, where I have really visible dark circle. I use a MAC 217 Brush to blend this under my eye for a streak-less finish. I really like using this brush because it really blends it into the skin - and makes it look like skin. I follow that by using the Collection concealer in light on my blemishes. I pat this in with my ring finger as the heat from my finger really blends it into my skin. I really do like this on my blemishes because it isn't too drying - and it really does cover.
Sometimes, instead of using the Collection Concealer, I opt for the Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer and use that on the main highlighting points of my face. See this post for my review on it.

Lastly, I powder down my T-zone. When I'm feeling hot - my face really gets shiny and I form beads of sweat on my forehead and nose. I know that sounds really gross - but unfortunately it happens to me. To reduce the shine, I tend to powder my face. I usually opt for either the Rimmel Stay Matte in Translucent or the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Plus.
That completes my base! Usually, if I'm in a rush (and don't have somewhere important to go) I don't really apply the Collection Concealer over my blemishes just because I don't have time.
